Angela Malik Limited – Terms and Conditions of Trading

Shipping:

We aim to dispatch all gifts and vouchers promptly. All orders are sent First Class via the Royal Mail and should be delivered between 3- 5 days after ordering (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays), however we cannot guarantee this. We do our best to secure delivery within 14 workings days of the date of your order but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions and all orders are made subject to your acceptance of them. Please read them carefully before placing your order as your order will be accepted strictly on the understanding that you accept these conditions of sale.  You have certain statutory rights as consumers that are not affected by these terms. Angela Malik Cook Schools are a trading name of Angela Malik Limited. The company registered address is 44 Upper Belgrave Road, Bristol BS8 2XN. The registered company number is 6500195.
  2. Cancellation policy: please note that classes and tour bookings can only be changed with a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice from the date of your class or tour and an administration fee of £10 per class, per person will be charged. Only one change is permitted. With less than 6 weeks’ notice classes and tours dates cannot be changed. All our classes and tour bookings cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel or change location, prices, course content and days at any time. We will endeavour to inform you via e-mail and publish changes on our website where possible. We will offer you an alternative day in the event of a course cancellation. Any refund will be made in cook school vouchers, no cash refunds. If you are unable to attend on the day booked we will accept a replacement person, we do not offer transfers to alternative days. For those incurring travel and accommodation costs, we recommend obtaining relevant insurance as we do not reimburse travel or accommodation costs for course changes or cancellations.
  3. If a class is prevented from taking place on the day due to illness, acts of God, restriction in utilities, fire, war, earthquake, strike, lockout, labor controversy, civil commotion, acts of restriction of any government or governmental agencies, or any other without limitation cause, an alternative class will be offered. The location of our Schools can occasionally be subject to adverse weather conditions. If the Angela Malik Cook School is open for operation and staffs are able to travel to the school, customers who are not in attendance will be subject to the cancellation policy.
  4. Gift Vouchers are valid for 9 months from the date of purchase.  The expiry date is printed on the voucher and it means that your course must be booked and taken before this date.  You can extend the expiry of your voucher for further 3 months upon £25 fee payment. Please note that the courses are subject to availability and weekend dates are always busiest. The vouchers can only be redeemed against classes, are non-refundable and no cash alternatives can be provided. Vouchers cannot be redeemed against Pop Up events but may be redeemed against classes of a different types (e.g. Valentines Evening or Mothers Day Special), however will be valued at the actual amount paid for the voucher and hence may be subject to an increase in price. Valid vouchers issued for classes of the same and/or equivalent value will be exempt from any price increases if redeemed before the expiry date. Delivery of all gift vouchers from the online shop or via telephone will be within 3 – 5 working days and once purchased cannot be cancelled.
  5. Our classes are for over 18s only. We ask that any attendee under the age of 18s accompanied on the class by a paying adult. We are unable to provide tuition to children under the age of 16 years. The school must be advised in advance of minors in attendance.
  6. In accordance with our responsibilities under the Data Protection Act you should be aware that the personal information you choose to provide will not be passed to any person or organisation outside of Angela Malik Limited, but will be held by relevant staff in the service area relevant to your comments. It will be taken that, in providing the information you agree to the use of the details to that extent. It is your responsibility to notify us if you do not wish to share any of this data.
  7. Where possible, our chefs will accommodate dietary requests with a minimum of 7 days notice prior to the class taking place. We are unable to guarantee that our classes are suitable for food allergy sufferers. Allergies are the responsibility of the individual customer and not of the Angela Malik Limited. We are unable to take responsibility for allergic reactions to foodstuffs. Food prepared both on and off the site may contain traces of nuts.
  8. Printed prices are correct at time of going to press. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, which will be published on our website.
  9. Delivery of all purchases from the online shop or via telephone when in-stock will be within 3 – 5 working days. There is a postage and packing charge for gift purchases. This will be displayed on the website at time of purchase. Should you change your mind after making a purchase you have 24hrs to notify us that you wish to cancel the order. Return postage is the responsibility of the purchaser. Class bookings, class voucher purchases and purchases of fresh food or food that needs refrigeration are exempt form these regulations.
